With the threat of an Avian Influenza Pandemic, the Governors Office formed a working group to develop a comprehensive plan to respond to an outbreak. The Office for Information Technology (OIT) was tasked to develop an information technology strategy to keep critical government functions running for an extended period of time during a pandemic or other type of emergency.
This presentation describes the results of OITs research and analysis to develop this strategy. Highlighted topics include the results of an Emergency Telework Pilot executed to determine the feasibility of a social distancing strategy and recommendations for infrastructure revisions and policy updates.
