"How to Be a Good Manager and Get the Most Out of Employees of All Ages--Veterans, Boomers, Xers and Yers"

This is the first time in American history that four generations have been in the workforce at the same time. The current generational shift—older Boomers and Veterans leaving the workplace and Gen Xers and Yers moving in—is a catalyst behind a wave of change in the workplace and is presenting new challenges for people managers.

Attracting and retaining members of the younger generations and retaining the knowledge of experienced workers will be increasingly important for organizations over the next five years. This session explores the perspectives and expectations each generation brings to the workplace and what managers can do to successfully adapt to generational change.
