Lessons learned from Hurricane Katrina are influencing evacuation planning at the state level. Responsibility for evacuations has traditionally been centered at the local government level with varying degrees of planning in place. As was apparent in the Katrina event, states must ensure cross-jurisdictional coordination of plans and support. Come hear how such work is coming together for the state of Ohio.
