Presenter Biography

Jerry Kambic

Jerry Kambic has been an Emmy & Telly Award winning television professional for more than 23 years. In 1989 Jerry was recruited by the Casey Administration to help run the Governor’s satellite news service. Jerry has been a Videographer, a Producer, a Section Chief and now the Operations Manager of CMS. The Department of General Services has awarded Jerry with the Secretary’s Award for excellence in service to the Commonwealth and the People of Pennsylvania for his efforts during disasters across the Commonwealth.

Before joining Commonwealth Media Services, Jerry was employed by WQED-TV Pittsburgh were he work as a Producer and Chief Videographer helping to craft the weekly magazine show “The People’s Business”. While at WQED, Jerry worked on many local, state and national programs and productions for the station, winning several awards including the PAB Keystone Award for excellence in broadcasting, The Pennsylvania Bar Associations’ William A. Schnader Award for excellence in judicial reporting. Jerry was also recognized as for his work as a Videographer by the NPPA.

Jerry began his career working in local news as a Videographer first for WHTM-TV Harrisburg and then WHP-TV Harrisburg before heading off to WQED-TV Pittsburgh and has also worked for Fox 29 in Philadelphia. Jerry’s work has been seen around the world and he has been a freelance Videographer for all the major networks and CNN.

Jerry graduated from the Pennsylvania Sate University, University Park Campus in 1982 with a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Journalism.
