Digital Signage Demonstration
Commonwealth Media Services / PA Department of General Services has launched the Commonwealth Digital Signage Network which is being carried over the Commonwealth's CATV System. Agencies can now have their own cable channel that will deliver information, training and news about their department to all entities inside and outside state government. Commonwealth Media Services launched this HD digital technology in November of 2006 and is now ready to unveil it to client agencies starting in January 2007. Two pilot agencies have already bought into the technology are The PA Department of Education and The PA Department of Agriculture. This demonstration will answer questions on cost, technical support and agency availability as well as touching on Homeland Security and Community Outreach issues.
