Transitioning To a New Portal Technology
Many of the original portals in state and local government are rapidly reaching a point where some technologies used for their deployment are outdated or in need of an upgrade. Whether your agency is in the early stages of a technology upgrade, a reinstallation or have a mature deployment, the portal development lifecycle including requirements definition, application development, architecture design, system deployment and training for todays portal technologies is much different than the original installations 5-7 years ago.
At this session, Smarts Portal experts will present an in-depth overview of the latest methodologies you should consider for upgrading a Portal Solution. Topics will include: Project Scoping, Project Delivery, Lessons Learned, Development & Design Planning, and Migration Considerations, to name a few. This presentation, using practical examples of recent projects, will enable collaboration, optimize content management processes, and help you leverage your existing agency-wide knowledge capital to complete a transition in minimal time
We will discuss how the portal solution developed and deployed by your agency must be highly adaptable to reuse rather than recreation of content. In todays fast-paced, well-connected environment dynamic content from users, file servers, Web sites, applications, and other sources need to be surfaced to users On-Demand. A Development on Demand approach will be discussed to help you accept your requirements, finalize design, and begin development. Join us, and learn how to leverage key knowledge assets and dynamic content to deliver high and demonstrable Return-On-Investments.
knowledge + search + collaboration + visualization = Portal Solution
You wont want to miss this session, if your portal transition requires reliable, scaleable solutions that increase external and internal user satisfaction and present endless opportunities to your agency.
