Network Crime and Network Forensics:
Multi-Party/Multi-Jurisdiction Investigations This session will start with an overview of the rise of distributed and ‘below threshold’ attacks and how attackers ‘bounce’ attacks between legal jurisdictions. From there, Mr. Rosenberg will discuss the need for law enforcement to expand upon traditional hard drive forensics and look at the network both in a technical and organizational frameworks. Lastly, the session will conclude with a short walk through of an example crime and possible solutions for information sharing across jurisdictions as well as entities in order to identify the aggregate damage and responsible parties.
