This is session is designed to demonstrate the use of visual communication in the Public Safety / Homeland Security market. We will invite guests over video from various agencies to interact with attendees** including the CDC, Iowa Homeland Security, University of Mississippi Medical Center to see how they use visual communication during recent hurricane events and training within their agencies. (**Some substitute agencies may be required based on availability). Look at examples of mobile command vehicles being able to send live two way video from the scene.

We will also discuss how emerging technologies such as Satellite communications are becoming more portable and affordable for use when land based systems are wiped out.

Finally, we will look at the various DHS grant programs and how to fund projects. How is the future of communication funding allowing for new technologies to be used in times of crisis? Are you working with all the agencies in your area to share / pool dollars?
