The rapid advancement of affordable wireless technology is having a profound impact on the way governments and businesses work, interact with clients and deliver service. The creative possibilities are limitless. First responders use wireless to transmit images to emergency operations centers for analysis, informed response and escalation. Health and Human Service Agencies use it for outreach and delivery of benefits. Insurance companies use it to record damage claims and accelerate payments. But buyers beware. Wireless technology - improperly deployed and managed -- can open unprotected gateways to your enterprise data, an unnecessary vulnerability with significant legal and financial implications. Mr. Rohlinger will discuss best practices related to the deployment and management of mobility solutions. He will discuss wireless networking, 802.11/Wifi security, advanced WLAN security mechanisms, and present and future developments.
