Information technology managers are becoming increasingly aware that much of the "stuff" for which they are responsible falls into the category of "records" that must be managed professionally. Enron and other cases have shown the potential harm that can result from improper records retention and destruction of records.

This session will present an overview of records management principles and apply them to the information technology environment. The speaker specifically will discuss e-mail, web pages, and other types of digital records and offer practical suggestions for the IT manager.
