The Commonwealth has always been a leader in technology and today, more than ever, it has an opportunity to achieve its vision through innovative approaches and advancement in partnerships, technologies and strong business fundamentals. The economic and political demands on the Commonwealth will evolve over the coming years and departments, agencies and local governments will be forced to not only do more with less they must be innovative and flexible and develop business models and use new technology in ways which are "out of the box".
Greg Baroni, President of PA based Unisys Global Public Sector practice, will explore best practices of new technologies, creative approaches to partnerships, and tools for measuring performance from within the Commonwealth, at the federal government level, as well as other state and local governments.

Greg serves as president, Global Public Sector. In this role, he is responsible for a worldwide business comprised of six geographic regions and the U.S. Federal Government Group. Under his leadership, the Global Public Sector team is driving to be the leading provider of technology solutions and services that deliver extraordinary value to public sector entities around the world. Greg brings extensive leadership experience in and knowledge of technology, transformation services and public sector entities to Unisys.
Prior to joining Unisys, Greg spent almost 20 years at KPMG Consulting, where he held a number of increasingly responsible roles. Most recently he was senior vice president, KPMG Global Public Service Practice - a $750 million business with 110 managing directors and 2,500 staff serving government, education, health and non-profit institutions. In this capacity, he advised numerous organizations in critical business areas such as branding, cost allocation, vendor selection/negotiation and distributed learning. He also led implementation and integration projects involving enterprise-wide packaged solutions for administrative applications.
Greg also served in positions such as national partner, Grants Management Services, partner and senior manager. In these roles, he directed the development of KPMG Consulting's solutions in grants management, cost allocation, property management, space utilization and effort reporting. Furthermore, he pioneered the deployment of innovative solutions for business process improvement involving the use of integrated process teams, shared services, local business centers and outsourcing.
Greg currently sits on the Information Technology Association of America (ITAA) IT Services Division Board of Directors and has been invited to join the Board of Directors of the Northern Virginia Technology Council (NVTC).
